We updated IoT Portal to fix an issue on the API to get SIM details.

What’s fixed or improved?

  • Get SIM details APIs - IoT Portal APIs to get SIM details including its current status was returning a wrong status value when a SIM was in Pre-Active state. According to the IoT Portal API documentation for the three available versions (v2.0, v2.1 and v2.2) of the API to get SIMs, the expected value for a Pre-Active SIM is "PRE-ACTIVE" but the API was returning "PRE_ACTIVE". This was fixed and the API is working again as described in the documentation.

Session status and duration incorrectly displayed for short data sessions

What’s fixed or improved?

  • Session status and duration - Occasionally, The session status and start date of a SIM in IoT Portal was not being correctly displayed when a SIM connected for just a few seconds. The session status would most likely remain as online even though the SIM was offline. We improved the performance of this feature so that it can track the session status with more accuracy.

Send SMS feature in SIM list is available again and SIM details was improved to display SIMs without rateplans.

What’s fixed or improved?

  • Send SMS - We fixed a bug in the SIM list feature that was preventing users from accessing the Send SMS feature directly from the SIM list. This is available again for all SIMs with SMS service enabled

  • SIM Details - Up until now, all SIMs provisioned in IoT Portal need to be associated to a rateplan. We changed this requirement to support a use case where a prepaid plan gets depleted or expired and the SIM doesn't hold a valid plan anymore. When this happens, the SIM details page will show that there is no rateplan and the SIM will be a suspended status.

We added a counter for rateplan changes and improved the SIM list feature user experience.

What’s new?

  • Rateplan changes counter - Users can now check how many rateplan changes a SIM has had. This information is available under "Billing Information" on the SIM details page.

What’s fixed or improved?

  • Filter by provisioning date - The SIM list was not calculating the correct number of pages whenever the applied filter was the provisioning date. This has been fixed to match the exact number of pages.

  • Filter by rateplans - The rateplan dropdown filter on the SIM list was displaying duplicate rateplans making it hard to find distinct ones from the list. This filter was improved to list the distinct rateplans.

SIM list is now faster and more resilient

What’s fixed or improved?

  • SIM list - The SIM list feature was improved to load the SIMs faster and we also fixed some bugs related to filters. This feature is now more resilient and provides a better user experience.
